Last July, the University Hospital Zurich the centenary of the birth of one of the greatest neurosurgeons of all time, Professor Yasargil.
Gazi Yaşargil, Born in 1925, he passed away 10 days before the celebration of the event in his honour. 200 neurosurgeons from around the world attended the event, which also included a joint meeting of the World Academy of Neurosurgery, of which Dr Arráez is vice-president.
At this meeting, Dr. Miguel Ángel Arráez actively participated by giving one of the lectures on surgically inaccessible brain lesions. In one of the photos, we can see him with Dr. and Imad Kanaan, the current president of the World Academy of Neurosurgery, and Dr Luca Regli, organiser of the event and Head of Neurosurgery at Zurich Cantonal Hospital, where Dr Yasargil developed his professional career, hailing from Turkey.
