He has been a pioneer nationally and internationally in techniques such as fluorescence-guided brain tumour resection.

His professional career includes positions of responsibility in the most important national and international neurosurgical societies, organising congresses and scientific meetings, as well as participating in multiple events as a speaker and invited professor abroad. He is part of the editorial board of more than 10 national and international Neurosurgery journals.
Dr. Miguel Ángel Arráez now has over 40 years of professional practice in the field of Neurosurgery.
After completing his MIR training period, he undertook various training placements in Europe and the USA, primarily focused on perfecting sophisticated surgical techniques, including minimally invasive surgery procedures, applicable to fields as diverse as spinal pathology and certain nervous system tumours.

- He is currently Head of the Neurosurgery Department at the Carlos Haya University Regional Hospital in Málaga and at Vithas Málaga and Vithas Xanit International Hospitals.
