The Spanish Skull Base Pathology Society Congress was held on 13 and 14 November 2025. The meeting took place at La Paz Hospital in Madrid, and in it, the Dr Miguel Ángel Arraez received recognition as an Honorary Fellow, and also gave an invited lecture on this type of tumour.
In the closing session of the congress, Arráez received an award from Doctor Fernando Muñoz, head of neurosurgery at Hospital San Pablo in Barcelona and president of the Spanish Society of Skull Base Pathology, regarding the consideration of Honorary Member of the Society. Doctor Arraez was the president of the aforementioned society between 2002 and 2004, organising the annual meeting in Malaga in 2004.
The meeting featured international speakers from the specialties of Neurosurgery, ENT, and Maxillofacial Surgery, as these three specialties converge in the difficult field of skull base pathology, considered the most technically challenging surgery in the body due to anatomical complexity.
