From 5th to 8th November 2025, the annual congress of the Peruvian Society of Neurosurgery was held in the city of Lima, jointly with the inter-meeting of the Latin American Federation of Neurosurgery, composed of all the Neurosurgery societies of Central and South America.
Dr Arraez was invited to participate with two presentations relating to brain tumours. The first of these, in relation to the tumour known as a chordoma, which requires exceptionally complex basic cranial surgical interventions.
The second presentation concerned tumours located in the brainstem, specifically, so-called cavernous angiomas, which are high-risk tumours due to their sometimes-present location in the medulla oblongata.
In the images, we can see Dr. Arraez during one of his presentations, as well as with Dr. Victor Inciso and Dr. Luis Felipe Gutiérrez Pérez, both organisers of the congress, along with Dr. Marcelo Zenteno, president of the Latin American Federation of Neurosurgery, and Dr. Enrique Urculo, a Spanish neurosurgeon and delegate of the Spanish society to the aforementioned Latin American Federation. Attendance was very high, with neurosurgeons from all over Latin America.
