The Congress of the Spanish Society of Skull Base Pathology was held on November 13 and 14, 2025. This meeting took place at La Paz Hospital in Madrid, and during it, the Dr. Miguel Ángel Arraez has received recognition as a Fellow, and also gave an invited lecture on these types of tumors.
In the closing session of the congress, Arráez received a recognition from Dr. Fernando Muñoz, chief of neurosurgery at Hospital San Pablo in Barcelona and president of the Spanish Society of Skull Base Pathology, what the consideration of Honorary Member of the Society has been. Dr. Arraez was the president of the aforementioned society from 2002 to 2004, organizing the annual meeting in Malaga in 2004.
The meeting featured international speakers from the specialties of Neurosurgery, ENT, and Maxillofacial Surgery, as these three specialties converge in the difficult field of skull base pathology, considered the most technically difficult surgery in the body due to the complexity of the anatomy.
