The 13th and 14st of November 2025 the Congress of the Spanish Society of Skull Base Pathology has been held at Hospital La Paz in Madrid. Dr. Arraez participated as an invited speaker, presenting a lecture on this type of difficult tumors.
During the closing session, Dr. Arraez received an award from Dr. Fernando Muñoz, Head of Neurosurgery at Hospital San Pablo in Barcelona and President of the Spanish Skull Base Society, being distinguished as Honorary Member of this society.
The meeting brought together international experts from neurosurgery, ENT, and maxillofacial surgery, as these three specialties converge in the challenging field of skull base pathology, considered the most technically demanding surgery due to the complexity of the anatomy. Dr. Arraez was president of this society in the period 2002-2004 and organized in Malaga the biannual meeting in 2004 with a large international participation.
