From 5 to 8 November 2025 the city of Lima hosted the annual congress of the Peruvian Society of Neurosurgery together with the joint meeting of the Latin American Federation of Neurosurgery, which brings together all neurosurgical societies of Central and South America. Dr. Arraez was invited to present two lectures on brain tumors.
The first dealt with chordoma, a tumor that requires exceptionally complex basic cranial surgeries. The second focused on tumors of the brainstem, specifically cavernous angiomas—high‑risk lesions often located in the medulla oblongata.
The photos show Dr. Arraez during one of his talks, together with Drs. Victor Inciso and Luis Felipe Gutiérrez Pérez, both organizers of the congress, as well as Dr. Marcelo Zenteno, president of the Latin American Federation of Neurosurgery, and Dr. Enrique Urcu‑Lo, a Spanish neurosurgeon and delegate of the Spanish Society to the Federation. Attendance was very high, with neurosurgeons from all over Latin America.
