From May 28 to 30, the annual meeting of Spanish neurosurgeons took place in Zaragoza, with more than 600 attendees. The event covered a wide range of topics, with Dr. Arraez participating in a panel discussion on skull base surgery, its history, and current developments.
Skull base surgery is currently experiencing significant growth, driven by minimally invasive endoscopic techniques that have become increasingly prominent over the past few decades.
The annual meeting also addressed other timely topics in the field, including spinal pathology, where invasive techniques are also dominating surgical treatments. Dr. Arraez was President of the Spanish Society of Neurosurgery in the period 2016-2018.
