{"id":741,"date":"2025-09-30T13:29:49","date_gmt":"2025-09-30T13:29:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/institutoarraez.com\/?post_type=news&#038;p=741"},"modified":"2025-09-30T13:29:50","modified_gmt":"2025-09-30T13:29:50","slug":"university-hospital-zurich-centenary-celebration-of-doctor-yasargil-considered-the-best-neurosurgeon-of-the-20th-century","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/institutoarraez.com\/en_gb\/news\/hospital-universitario-de-zurich-celebracion-del-centenario-del-doctor-yasargil-considerado-mejor-neurocirujano-del-siglo-xx\/","title":{"rendered":"University Hospital Zurich: celebration of the centenary of Dr Yasargil, considered the best neurosurgeon of the 20th century."},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Last July, the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.usz.ch\/en\/\">University Hospital Zurich<\/a><\/strong> the centenary of the birth of one of the greatest neurosurgeons of all time, Professor Yasargil. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Gazi Ya\u015fargil, <\/strong>Born in 1925, he passed away 10 days before the celebration of the event in his honour. 200 neurosurgeons from around the world attended the event, which also included a joint meeting of the World Academy of Neurosurgery, of which Dr Arr\u00e1ez is vice-president. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At this meeting, Dr. Miguel \u00c1ngel Arr\u00e1ez actively participated by giving one of the lectures on surgically inaccessible brain lesions.
