From May 14th to 17th, 2026, the sixth congress of the International Society of Neurosurgery took place in Mumbai, India. Madjid Samii. Prof. Samii is a living legend, still active in the field of neurosurgery and dealing with highly complex tumors at the age of nearly 90.
The international society that bears his name brings together neurosurgeons from all over the world, and on this occasion the congress was held in India, organized by Dr. Basant Misra. The Dr. Miguel Angel Arraez has had the pleasure and honor of participating after being invited, giving several lectures and moderating some round tables on currently debated aspects within the specialty. In the photographs, you can see him during some of his presentations, one of which was the congress's inaugural round table in which Dr. Arráez participated along with Dr. Samii (Hanover, Germany) and the Dr. Spetzler, which we can consider at the moment the best neurosurgeons in the world.
In this meeting, Dr. Arraez has also been invited to participate in the celebration of the 75th anniversary of the Neurochirurgical Society of India, to be held in Azad in December of this year.
