Lumbar Spine Pathology Update Course Held at the Official College of Physicians of Málaga

On December 4th, Dr. Arráez led and taught, along with other professionals, an Update Course on Lumbar Spine Pathology, held at the Official College of Physicians of Málaga.

The roster of speakers was simply exceptional, giving the training a TOP-tier character in subjects such as lumbar physiopathology and herniated disc, diagnosis and clinical approach, radiological and neurophysiological techniques, or current surgical treatments. Among the speakers were doctors Ángel Horcajadas, Rafael Ramos de la Rosa, Victoria Fernández, Sebastián Trujillo, Carlos Aldaya, Jorge Linares, Cinta Arráez, and Antonio Selfa.

Lumbar pathology is a health problem with significant implications in the workplace and society, frequently requiring surgical intervention. It is the most common cause of work-related activity limitation for individuals over 40 years of age, second only to the common cold. Its socio-healthcare implications are evident.

This activity, intended for general practitioners, specialists in traumatology, rehabilitation, physiotherapy, and pain specialists, had as its main objectives to acquire knowledge about the pathophysiology of the lumbar spine and herniated discs, appropriate diagnosis and clinical approach, techniques for radiological and neurophysiological diagnosis, and current surgical treatment techniques for degenerative lumbar pathology.
