he 6th Congress of the Madjid Samii International Society of Neurosurgery was held in Mumbai, India, from May 14th to 17th. Professor Samii remains a living legend; at nearly 90 years of age, he continues to be active in the field of neurosurgery, managing tumors of extreme complexity. The international society bearing his name brings together neurosurgeons from across the globe, with this year’s congress in India being organized by Dr. Basant Misra.
Dr. Arráez had the distinct honor and pleasure of participating as an invited speaker, delivering several lectures and moderating round tables on contemporary debates within the specialty. The photographs capture some of his interventions, including the congress’s inaugural round table, where Dr. Arráez participated alongside Dr. Samii (Hanover, Germany) and Dr. Spetzler—widely regarded as the preeminent neurosurgeons in the world today.
During this meeting, Dr. Arráez was also invited to participate in the 75th-anniversary celebration of the Neurological Society of India, which will take place in Azad in December of this year.
